The Kea Milling Plant in Murrieta, By Kenneth Lafler

The Seventh most haunted site
in the
United States

From America's Haunted Destinations

Rarely seen shots of the interior
of the
Kea Milling Plant

The Kea Milling Plant is located in the town of Murrieta. The mill is a large concrete structure that is about 100 feet high. Built in the 1920's  the mill was in operation until about the late 1980's.

The mill was rated the seventh most haunted site in America. The stories center around a girl wearing a blue dress who may be seen at night in the second window in the middle of the structure.

The building  had wooden stairs at one time leading to the floors above. But due to a fire set in the 1990's the upper levels are completely inaccessible. One may view the upper area's by the stair well  but  climbing this should not be attempted. The Charred remains of the stairs may still be viewed  though.

The following shots of the interior are rarely seen, due to the fact that the building is usually sealed shut. But on this occasion  I was able to film though an opening in the wooden door bolted to the frame.

The Graffiti , although not recommended still gives the building an interesting look. Some of it is actually quite good, and like they say today's Graffiti are tomorrow's petrogylph's
